BHS Update on managing Covid – 19 in the workplace 18th August 2021

We will continue to support our clients but all face to face and on site  contact will now cease  for the next 7 days in Auckland,  and out of Auckland for 3 days. We will be in contact to rebook these appointments

  • Support to essential industry to minimise their infection risks & provide essential and urgent health assessment eg PEM, exposure risk
  • On site screening of staff for COVID -19, including temperature monitoring and screening of staff
  • Building policy procedures for managing prevention, stay at work and contingency if cases identified
  • Provide a hazard identification and risk level
  • Practical actions plans
  • Providing sound resources for you to use including working at home and mental health

The 2020 Flu vaccine is different to 2019

and that difference provides a wider cover against 4 influenza strains rather than 3. For 2020, of the four influenza strains included in the vaccine, two are new (in bold):

  • A/Brisbane/02/2018 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus;
  • A/South Australia/34/2019 (H3N2)-like virus;
  • B/Washington/02/2019-like (B/Victoria lineage) virus
  • B/Phuket/3073/2013-like (B/Yamagata lineage) virus.
